Papago Golf Course, owned by the City of Phoenix, AZ, was long considered the finest public golf course in the state. It was designed by well known and esteemed golf course architect William Francis (Billy) Bell, who learned his craft from his father, William Park Bell. They collaborated on many highly rated California courses. Perhaps best known among the nearly one hundred courses to Billy's credit is Torrey Pines in San Diego. He also designed Tucson Country Club and Wickenburg Country Club.
Very good course within the city of Phoenix. I like the desert courses that are outside the city but this course does provide great views of some of the nearby mountains. The course is well maintained and is a challenging. Tee times were spread out and we finished in just over 3 hours.

Raven Golf Club Phoenix’s spectacular championship golf course, array of world-class amenities and unparalleled guest service have earned it recognition among the nation’s top daily fee golf properties – including 4.5 stars by Golf Digest, “#5 Golf Course in the State” by Arizona Magazine, and “#1 Guest Service in North America.” From its manicured greens and expansive practice facility to its picturesque air conditioned wedding and event pavilion overlooking the 18th hole, Raven Golf Club Phoenix offers a remarkable golf, dining and special events experience in the shadows of South Mountain.
Phenomenal golf course with a bit of a different feel than the typical desert style golf you see while down in Arizona. We played here recently on the final day of a 4 day golf trip and were not disappointed. The course was beautiful and played well. With it being close to Scottsdale where we stayed, it felt like we didn't have to drive far to get there and felt like we were playing a high end country club. It was an awesome golf course and super fun to play.

Muni golf at its finest! Great staff, facilities and golf course! It’s a rad place to meet other friendly golfers, hang and enjoy events at the tavern like bingo! They also just added lights to the newly renovated practice green and driving range. So that makes the place even better! Definitely worth checking out!
