The Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum in Mesa is a "living" aviation museum featuring over 30,000 square feet of hangars filled with historic military aircraft from WWI to the Iraq War. It focuses on preserving Arizona's aviation history, offering interactive exhibits, cockpit access, and flights in WWII aircraft
An awesome place to visit, especially if you are interested in history or avionics.
Seeing aircraft up close And learning from the docents is a great experience. While one of the hangers was open because of a visiting bomber in for repairs don’t be afraid to go in the summer. There’s a small theater with A variety of informative movies for when you need a break. Highly recommend Special thanks to Max and Ed, Volunteers who helped us along the way with some incredible facts and information. Thanks to all the volunteers who help bring our avionics history alive. Post to add photos

The museum was founded in 1978 by John Whiteman, inspired by his father Jack Whiteman and supported by community leaders dedicated to arts, culture and families. Originally called The Center for Fine Arts and later the Arizona Museum for Youth, it was the nation's only children's museum focused on fine art. Showcasing work by local, national and international artists, it became a cultural destination for families and schools across the Valley. In 1987, the museum partnered with the City of Mesa to ensure long-term stability, with the City managing operations and the Friends group (now the idea Museum Foundation) leading fundraising.

Customer Review
My kids and I always love this museum. The fact that they change the exhibits not too many times so that you can't experience it all but thank you keep it changing. And they do give a discount for those with EBT which is awesome since I have special needs kids they have headphones so it's amazing that they were able to have those for him and I really appreciate that is a wonderful museum. I'm also happy that they moved the giant pink chair that we used to be in downtown Mesa in front of it because I remember sitting on that at 14 years old I'm 31 now.

The Mesa Historical Museum, located in Mesa, Arizona, is a charming, small-scale museum dedicated to preserving and showcasing local history through diverse exhibits. Housed in a historic building, it features rotating displays on topics such as Cactus League Spring Training, Hohokam archaeology, and 1900s domestic life.
The Mesa Historical Museum was very interesting to walk through! It's one level, but has several rooms of artifacts to look at and articles to read. Learning about how baseball spring training came to be here in Arizona was very fascinating! One could take an hour or so to fully enjoy this museum. Another must see in Mesa!
